Greer Chamber Hires New CEO

The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce executive board is pleased to announce the hiring of David Merhib as its new President and CEO. Merhib has served as the President and CEO of the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce (South Dakota) for the last four years.

He holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts History. Merhib is also a graduate of the Institute of Organizational Management from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

In his old position, Merhib was responsible for the implementation of two organizational multi-year strategic plans, the creation of a tiered dues benefit structure for members, and the establishment of public policy statements for the business community.

“The search committee completed a nation-wide search and feels as though we have selected the person who not only has the necessary skills and background, but also will be a great fit for our community. We would like to thank our search committee members for their diligent work in this search for our next President and CEO. We’re very excited to work with David and begin this new chapter at the Greater Greer Chamber,” said Search Committee Chair Larry Wilson.
