New Business to Open in Former Maiale Boutique Building

Sisters Danielle and Mary Prestifilippo, owners of Southern Sisters Boutique are announcing the creation of a new retail business concept they see as the future of retail. Fizz Boutique and Champagne Bar combines ladies shopping with a champagne bar, virtual events and experiences, as well as in-person event space. They see the melding of both virtual and in-person experience-based programs and shopping as the future of post-pandemic retail.

Danielle and Mary opened Southern Sisters Boutique in downtown Greer in 2014, and expanded to a second location in Fountain Inn in 2017. COVID-19 caused them to pivot their business model to virtual experiences and Facebook LIVE sales, which led to a 60% growth over the previous year and development of this new business concept. 

“The explosive growth of downtown Greer while keeping its charming small-town feel made it an easy choice to open our third business here”, said Danielle Prestifilippo.

Mayor Rick Danner stated, “The completion of the CenterG streetscape project in Greer Station has made our downtown a regional destination for great shopping and dining.” said Mayor Rick Danner. “It is a pleasure to welcome Fizz Boutique and Champagne Bar and the expansion by one of our existing business owners, and I look forward to the opening of its unique venue and the exciting new options it brings to Greer Station.”

Fizz Boutique and Champagne Bar will open in early June at 111 E. Poinsett Street in Greer, just two doors down from their current location.
